[Contents] The current Fairlady Z was announced in 2020 and released in 2022. Its model code is RZ34, and while it's technically a major update of the 6th-generation Fairlady Z (Z34), introduced in 2008, about 80% of its parts have been redesigned, leading some to count it as the 7th generation.
The exterior strongly pays homage to the original model, and in keeping with the times, the engine has been downsized from 3.7 liters to 3.0 liters, while output has increased by about 70 horsepower. Thanks to its high dynamic performance, it is also used in motorsports, competing in Super GT's GT500 and GT300 classes.
