The VK.45.02(P) is known as the phantom tank developed by the very same Dr. Porsche who created the super-heavy tank Maus, after losing the competitive design selection for the Tiger I. Two versions were planned: a V-type with the turret positioned forward, and an H-type with the turret positioned to the rear, but development was halted once the turret itself was completed, and the pre-produced turrets famously ended up being diverted for use on the first 50 units of the Tiger II.

This model is a plastic model kit reproducing the German Army's VK.45.02(P) H-type prototype heavy tank at 1/35 scale. The turret uses the Tiger I (I, Porsche turret), and a machined aluminum part is provided for the 88mm gun barrel, dramatically improving precision. With weld marks and other fine details, it achieves a realistic finish as if the real vehicle actually existed. The running gear uses parts from the Elefant.
