X-Plus Real Master Collection Godzilla 2000 Millennium Maquette Replica Soft Vinyl Ver. Total Length Approx. 620mm PVC Painted Completed Figure
"Godzilla 2000: Millennium" (released in 1999), the long-awaited Godzilla film whose production was announced after a four-year gap since the previous installment.
During the design process for the new Godzilla, Yuji Sakai, who participated as a member of the design team, created a study model that has since become legendary among Godzilla fans as a masterpiece. Now, with the cooperation of Toho Co., Ltd., that very prototype finally arrives as a full replica, 22 years later!
Based on Sakai's precious original clay sculpt, this product is delivered as the long-awaited soft vinyl replica: "Godzilla 2000 Millennium Prototype Replica, Soft Vinyl Version."
Produced under Sakai's own sculpting and coloring supervision, it minimizes the loss of detail inherent in the soft vinyl production process, faithfully reproducing the clay original down to the finest details.
The coloring also recreates Sakai's original work using techniques suited to soft vinyl.
The product includes a caption plate describing the piece, further conveying the appeal and presence of the prototype.
Experience firsthand this overwhelming sculptural beauty, which remains as vivid today as ever.
