During the design process for the new Godzilla, Yuji Sakai, who participated as part of the design works team, created a study model that has since become legendary among Godzilla fans as a masterpiece. Now, with the cooperation of Toho Co., Ltd., after a long 22 years, that very prototype finally arrives as a full replica!
This product is crafted based on Sakai's precious original clay sculpt, delivered as the long-awaited soft vinyl replica: "Godzilla 2000 Millennium Prototype Replica, Soft Vinyl Version."
Produced under Sakai's own sculpting and coloring supervision, it keeps degradation from the soft vinyl process to an absolute minimum, recreating the details of the clay original down to the finest limit.
The coloring, too, recreates Sakai's original color work using techniques effective for a soft vinyl reproduction.
The product includes a caption plate describing the piece, further conveying the appeal and presence of the prototype.
